On September 26, 2026, St. Joseph Mae Ramat School, under the compassionate leadership of Sister Pia-Marie Sunthornpian, joined by faculty members and student representatives, organized a dedicated community pastoral outreach. The initiative focused on visiting, encouraging, and supporting senior citizens, homebound patients, and families facing socioeconomic challenges in the local area.
Delivering Care and Essential Provisions to Four Communities
The delegation traveled directly to local residences, delivering crucial relief supplies, including rice, dry foodstuffs, and indispensable consumer items to support daily living. The mission covered four key villages within Mae Ramat District, Tak Province:
Khi Thoe Village
Pa Rai Din Daeng Village
Khanechue Village
Mae Mat Village
The outreach visits were characterized by warmth, empathy, and meaningful interpersonal engagement. Students and educators listened attentively to the stories of the community members, offering moral support and companionship to those in need.
Fostering Compassionate Citizenship and Service-Oriented Values
This initiative served as a practical learning journey aimed at nurturing volunteerism, empathy, and social responsibility among students. By actively engaging with society's vulnerable populations, learners were encouraged to realize the significance of altruism, social equity, and active contribution to communal well-being.
Furthermore, the activity draws inspiration directly from the spiritual charism of St. Paul—"to be all things to all people". Through these hands-on experiences, St. Joseph Mae Ramat School remains committed to forming morally grounded leaders equipped with compassion and a lifelong dedication to selfless service.
