St. Joseph Mae Ramat School Empowers Students as Youth Public Health Leaders

The program was organized with a keen understanding of the importance of proactive health promotion among young people. Its primary objective was to provide students with comprehensive knowledge and skills in health promotion, basic first aid, hygiene care, and systematic health problem surveillance.

The training covered critical topics including:
Health Promotion: Learning principles and practical approaches for maintaining good health in daily life.
Basic First Aid: Hands-on practice of life-saving techniques and care for injured individuals in emergency situations.
Personal and Environmental Hygiene: Understanding and implementing practices for maintaining optimal hygiene.
Health Problem Surveillance: Learning to observe and respond effectively to potential health issues within the school and community.

All 49 participating students received knowledge and practical experience from expert medical personnel at Mae Ramat Hospital. This rigorous training is expected to build their confidence and capability to apply their newly acquired skills in real-life scenarios.

St. Joseph Mae Ramat School anticipates that these youth public health leaders will effectively disseminate their knowledge and skills to fellow students, family members, and the wider community.
