On August 14, 2026, the Early Childhood Department of St. Joseph Mae Ramat School successfully organized the “Fun Thinking, Fun Experimenting” activity. Held under the Emmanuel Building, the event primarily aimed to promote and develop science, mathematics, and logical reasoning skills for students in Early Childhood Year 1-3.
Fostering Learning Through Hands-on Experience
The “Fun Thinking, Fun Experimenting” activity was specially designed to stimulate the development of young children by encouraging them to:
Ask questions about things of interest: Providing opportunities for children to explore and wonder about phenomena around them.
Practice mathematical and scientific reasoning: Developing systematic thinking processes and connecting knowledge with real-world experiences.
Solve problems through practical application: Strengthening independent problem-solving skills through challenging and enjoyable activities.
Three Engaging Science Experiment Stations
To facilitate a diverse and age-appropriate learning experience, the Early Childhood Department prepared three science experiment stations:
Joyful Balloon Station: Children learned simple principles of air pressure and chemical reactions through balloon inflation experiments.
Space Adventure Station: Inviting children to explore a simulated space environment, learning about celestial objects and gravity through exciting activities.
Bouncy Balloon Station: Offering children opportunities to observe the properties of air and balloon movement, while practicing prediction skills.
All these activities not only provided fun and excitement but also played a crucial role in laying the foundation for science and mathematics learning from an early age. This aligns with the school's policy of developing learners with essential skills for future learning.
St. Joseph Mae Ramat School is committed to continuously enhancing the quality of education and believes that organizing such activities will empower students with the skills and readiness to become lifelong learners.
